Since we rarely have chargebacks, and we rarely need customer service, these are both low-level inconveniences. Overall the service works exactly as it should with no problems and no down time and I’m quite satisfied with it. They were totally unable to wind down the contract with their longstanding partner (HomeAway) at the expense of their customers (renters like me). The customer service team works quickly to solve issues with minimal wait time. Updates are provided promptly as well when working on more in depth issues.
I needed a password reset, no a survey. I asked for a password reset on the website and then through the customer service email link on the website. I still have not received the reset but Yapstone sent this survey request. We switched to VacationRentPayment a few months ago to xcritical rezension save on processing fees and couldn’t be happier. Everything has worked seamlessly and the team is quick to respond to any questions. We would gladly recommend them to others.
In the past, the cc refunds would be netted out with our sales. Now our bank statement is getting harder to reconcile because the refunds (recaptures) are posted separately and it delays our reconciliation process. Also, the automatic $25 chargeback fees need to disappear or get reduced. Sometimes it’s for cancelled reservations that have already been refunded yet we still get charged the $25 fee, not fair.

Our REST APIs are easy to customize to suit your company’s specific needs, regardless of industry or vertical. Yapstone’s flexible platform is flexible enough to support your future-proofing payments and expand your customer base, regardless of your xcritical industry. People who write reviews have ownership to edit or delete them at any time, and they’ll be displayed as long as an account is active. SF Shannon used Yapstone for payment processing because of slick marketing touting the company as the best choice for the vacation rental industry. In using Yapstone for over a decade, it never was a vendor we were enthusiastic about, mainly due to the company’s antiquated software. Yapstone’s post-pandemic business practices have made the company one to run from.
They actually handled everything and just let me know when it was. Hi Madelaine, I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had a stressful experience. As you’re aware, the issue has now been resolved, and we’re working with our partners to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Absolutely shocking and stressful service
They will not let me speak to a supervisor. They just put me on hold for ten minutes or so and then cut me off. The promised time for the payments to reach my account breaks European banking regulations – EU regulations are very clear and very specific for Euro payments within SEPA. Not 5 to 7 days as these guys claim but D+1. My money arrived faster and at no cost to me.

I would recommend anyone that accepts credit cards reach out to them for a quote. In 2015, I converted my IRA to a trust held by a company in Idaho. The proceeds were used to buy a rental property that would act as my new IRA.
We’re making a conscious effort to fix any dispute regarding our services. We take such comments and feedback very seriously. Please contact with your email address and we will look into this for you.
As you will read by others, yapstone does not follow their contractual guidelines. They add service charges when they are not supposed to. When asked about the service charges or other breaches of their contract they are ultimately useless in replying, not to mention take forever to reply. Yapstone is no better than the large health insurance corporations.
- A guest paid – initial payment and later full amount.
- So what services will they start charging for next?

- Whether a company website active should not be a determining factor whether payments are released.
- Yapstone have paid only part of the money due to me.
Yapstone (the payment services provider HomeAway use) have without notice decided to withhold my guests’ payments for up to 12 months rather than pay within 5-7 working days. This is money my guests have paid to stay in my property – it is not Yapstone’s to hold on to and make interest from! Having spoken to Trish in Yapsone’s Customer Relations Team, and now have some insight into why xcritical rezension Yapstone has made this change.
They say they are “charging for a service that [I] previously received for free”. So what services will they start charging for next? How can I trust Yapstone not to start turning the screw even tighter? Has Yapstone ever thought that the way to retain clients might be to offer a better service, not a worse one? All property owners big and small should seriously consider looking for an alternative service provider, unless Yapstone rethinks its policies. These people seem to be worse than incompetent.
Yapstone has Free Access to take money from your bank account!!!
However once the matter was escalated to the EU head office in Ireland the tone changed drastically and I was left with no satisfactory resolution and the matter was ignored. Company culture is not focused on providing value to its customers. Funds paid by guests are not being released because our website is not launched.
You cannot get hold of them by telephone. If they process a refund it takes up to 20 days! If you email they send an automated response and don’t get back to you for a day or so. Suggested companies are based on people’s browsing tendencies. We understand your frustration & would like to understand how to best solve the issue.
Ethical, competent, and responsive payment processors exist who deserve your business. It goes against our guidelines to offer incentives for reviews. We also ensure all reviews are published without moderation.
